Biographie

Née en Seine-Maritime, Frédérique Bedos est journaliste, réalisatrice et productrice de documentaires. Elle a ainsi produit et réalisé une douzaine de films qui ont tous pour but d'informer et de pousser à l'action. Elle fait ses débuts comme reporter culturel chez Fashion and Design TV5 à New York. De retour en Europe, elle anime quotidiennement plusieurs émissions à Londres durant la semaine, et plusieurs autres émissions de divertissement de prime time en France durant les week-end. En mars 2010, elle crée le projet Imagine, une ONG d'information qui vise à créer un mouvement d’engagement citoyen en faveur d’une société plus inclusive et durable. Elle sensibilise le public au moyen de films inspirants et les mobilise par des programmes d'accompagnement vers des actions qui s'inscrivent dans les objectifs de développement durable définis par les Nations unies. En 2014, le président de la République, François Hollande, choisit Frédérique Bedos pour intégrer le comité de parrainage de «La France s’engage », le chantier présidentiel consacré à l’innovation sociale. Un an plus tard, en 2015, elle publie son tout premier livre autobiographique intitulé « La petite fille à la balançoire » . En 2017, alors que son ONG Le Projet Imagine est officiellement reconnue par les Nations Unies, Frédérique obtient le titre de Chevalier de l'Ordre national du Mérite. Deux prestigieux Prix lui sont ensuite remis : à Miami, celui du « Women who make a Difference » et en France, le « Trophée de l'Inspiration » par l'association française "Pour les femmes dans les médias". Elle est également finaliste du Prix Alice Guy récompensant la meilleure réalisatrice française de l’année 2020.

Frédérique Bedos is a journalist, director and producer of documentaries. She has produced and directed a dozen films, all of which aim to inform and encourage action. She started as a cultural reporter for Fashion and Design TV5 in New York. Back in Europe, she hosts several daily shows in London during the week, and several other prime time entertainment shows in France during the weekends. In March 2010, she created the Imagine Project, an information NGO that aims to create a movement of citizen engagement for a more inclusive and sustainable society. She raises public awareness through inspiring films and mobilizes them through accompanying programs towards actions that are in line with the sustainable development goals defined by the United Nations. In 2014, the President of the Republic, François Hollande, chose Frédérique Bedos to join the sponsorship committee of "La France s'engage", the presidential project dedicated to social innovation. A year later, in 2015, she published her very first autobiographical book entitled "La petite fille à la balançoire" . In 2017, as her NGO The Imagine Project was officially recognized by the United Nations, Frédérique was awarded the title of Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite. Two prestigious awards were then presented to her: in Miami, the "Women who make a Difference" award and in France, the "Trophy of Inspiration" by the French association "For Women in the Media". She is also a finalist for the Alice Guy Award for the best French director of the year 2020.
